Day of the Dead (and Book Signing Events this Weekend)

Happy Day of the Dead! Every year, I find myself moved by this joyful two-day celebration of our ancestors, and it’s in that spirit that I share a photo of my parents back in their hipster days.

According to my Eastern practitioner friends, autumn is also a season of melancholy. So if you’re feeling a layer of melancholy as you traverse these sunny fall days, please know you’re not alone.

The seasons have shifted, and many of us are starting to go inward. Fall and winter, perhaps not so surprisingly, are when folks tend to reach out to me around The Secret Life of Grief. Hearing how much my book has helped someone always makes my day.

On that note, I wanted to let you know I”ll be selling/signing copies of The Secret Life of Grief: A Memoir at two events this weekend:

  • The 6th Annual Holiday Bazaar from 9:00-3:00pm on Saturday 11/3 in Boulder–sponsored by the Boulder Area P.E.O. chapter. (P.E.O. is a philanthropic educational organization for women built upon service and philanthropy as an outgrowth of its social bonds of love and friendship). My previous book, 9 Steps to Heal Your Resentment and Reboot Your Marriage, will also be available.
  • The Colorado Country Christmas Gift Show down in Denver Mart Friday 11/2–Sunday 11/4. I’ll be signing books from 10:00 am-2:00 pm on Friday 11/2 as well as from 10:00 am — 2:00 pm on Sunday 11/4. I’m part of the Colorado Author’s League (CAL), so if this calls to you, come out and join us.

Seems crazy that we’re already into holiday sales, but there it is.

And of course, if you ever want one of my books for a friend or loved one, you can always grab a copy at the Boulder Book Store, on Amazon or you can reach out to me directly.

In the meantime, wishing you and your loved ones a joyful Day of the Dead celebration!

Much love,

Tanja
